Twitter Bots for the Misinformation
Twitter is a blessing and a curse. The app gets people informed and connected. Good thing right? Yes, but it can be used for the wrong thing. Twitter is able to spread misinformation like a wildfire due to how easy it is to share tweets. Bots from Twitter will send out completely fake news and make "the content appear popular enough that human users would trust it and share it more widely ." These tweets typically "link to articles on sites known to regularly publish false or misleading information." Humans believe that it's trustworthy because other people wouldn't share fake news.
