Snapchat and Twitter are
two social media platforms used mainly by Generation Z and the end of the Millennial
generation, especially Snapchat. Recently, Twitter and Snapchat have become
main sources of news consumption from people in these age groups. It calls to
question which source is better, or how these sources compare. Twitter news
includes responses to the situations by normal Twitter users, which can lead to
a bias subliminally put into the mind of the viewer. Snapchat news is “produc[ing]
content specifically for Snapchat”, whose users are very young. This at first
seems questionable, but the majority of news sources are legitimate. These
sources are purely writing stories with the intention of grasping the attention
of a young audience.
