Ann Jones is an American journalist, photographer and author. She has traveled all over the world including Africa, Afghanistan, East Asia and the Middle East. According to her website, "her work focuses on women and other underdogs and on the historical/social/political structures that perpetuate injustice." She has reported on violence against women, what it's like to live in war zone areas and the struggles that American soldiers have gone through. At 81 years old, Jones is still writing articles and reporting on important subjects. Most of her articles are online at TomDispatch or The Nation. She has also written 10 books.
