CNN stands for cable news network, and is one of the most prominent news casting programs around, and a lot like other platforms, have an app for their news. Even though they have their own app for anything posted from their authors, they have their own news broadcast on Snapchat and is free and open to anyone through its app. During our election for president in 2016, it broadcasted every national debate between the candidates, republican and democrat, and highlighted the highs and lows from the evening from their own casters as well as the publics own videos. Snapchat during the election, "helped over 400,000 people go out to the polls and vote." This shows only a few of the things that social media is helping the lives of younger adults, and with getting younger people to the polls, it is helping them start to get more involved in politics.
