The Post is a political movie based on a true story from 1971.  Katherine Graham owner of The Washington Post and editor Ben Bradlee debate publishing classified papers that were leaked to them, showing the US Government lied to Americans about our involvement in the Vietnam War for years.  Not printing puts the country’s democratic future at risk by allowing lies to be told unchecked.   If they print and lose the 1st Amendment case, the paper’s finances, reputation and employees would be ruined.  In the end it came down to a simple question Ben asked Katherine, “If we don’t hold them accountable, who will?”
