Reporting from North Korea

In this article, Will Ripley, a CNN correspondent in North Korea is known to give updates on different issues related to North Korea, but mostly the relationship between North Korea and the United States over the denuclearization concerns. Will Ripley represents what is known as bold or daring reporting. Of course, knows North Korea and the Kim Jong UN’s regime. This is a lawlessness state where anything can happen to anybody, in particular the reporters who are constantly kept on toes and only report on selected issues for fear of the type of judgment that could follow thereafter. For example, “The individuals who spoke to CNN requested anonymity because they were not authorized to publicly speak about the situation.” This simply shows that there is no freedom of speech in the country. Sometimes I wonder how people like Will Ripley survive in North Korea where anything goes, you can be there today and tomorrow you are no more. This is evident from what is being reported ‘a diplomat being executed just because of a failed Summit.’
