Dallas Supports LGBTQ Community with Rainbow Crosswalks

The city council for Dallas Texas has voted unanimously to have rainbow crosswalks painted in the Oak Lawn neighborhood of Dallas. Oak Lawn is “a Dallas neighborhood that has been a safe space for local LGBT residents for years and was honored in 2018 with the state's first LGBT historical marker”. Dallas is showing a tremendous amount of support for the LGBT community by the development of this project. It’s incredible that the city is willing to pay for this project and it’s even more mind-blowing that the entire city council voted unanimously on it. Times are changing. We are moving in the right direction to a world where everyone is accepted. The painting of the crosswalks not only shows acceptance but it also celebrates. I’m so happy to see Dallas do this for the LGBT community.
