The
film, All the President’s Men continues, Bob Woodward and Carl Burnstein’s
investigative persistence pays off. The
pieces begin to fall into place as stories are cleared to be published. Both reporters are able to get people to
speak and provide specific details of what exactly occurred. The story is unveiled and we come to confirm that
the Nixon campaign was sabotaging the democratic candidates. These interviews show the intricacies of this
scandal. “They bugged offices, created
false press leads, fake letters, cancelled democratic campaign rallies, investigated
democratic private lives, planted spies, stole documents, and on and on.” We come to the realization of the magnitude
of the Watergate scandal and who was really involved. Top officials, the president’s men, the six
men mentioned above, were the main players in this sabotage campaign. They each played a part in this scandal and these reporters are able to
put the pieces together to show their connection and roles.
