A few months back, I read an article about a teenage boy who was taken to the hospital after trying to take a picture from a very high altitude. This incident happen here in Dallas, the boy was trying to take a selfie on top of the Margaret McDermott Bridge, but slipped and almost plunged to his death. He was fortunate enough to only have injuries but there are other cases where people have died trying to take that perfect selfie to post on social media.“Hundreds of people have died worldwide in recent years while taking selfies, according to a study released last year, including an Italian teen who died after falling off the roof of a shopping center. An Israeli teen also met his death trying taking a selfie near a waterfall in Yosemite National Park.” People have to be more careful of their surroundings and know that is not worth dying for some likes.
