Maan Bakour

Maan Bakour is a Syrian Journalist, that was recently detained by the Syrian militant group called Hayat Tahrir Al Sham. Bakour was a reporter for the Hama Media Office “an online news outlet that opposes the government of Bashar al-Assad.” Although it can be assumed that Bakour was detained due to some statement he made against the government in his report, the militant group “refused to disclose his location or the reason for his detention.” His detainment has caused unrest in the region, because he was taken directly from his home with all his belongings seized without a reason.
