Social Media: Not Everything is Negative

Social media has caused many problems throughout its success. Many people have negative connotations about social media sites and view them as a source of negativity in this world. When they are asked what they think about sites like facebook, instagram and twitter, they will reply with negative comments on how is bad for people, especially younger generations. However, not everything is bad and we benefit a lot from having those types of communications. “With items posting immediately, the public stays informed. Some issues cause controversy, but social media does more good than harm in retrospect.” One example that shows that social media can be helpful is when people that are in need can get help just by sharing their story. Without even thinking about it, those people are using pathos to appeal to an audience. The Gofund me page is used often and strangers can help each other out by donating or by reposting that person’s emotional story.
