One of the issues in my community is the recent decision to add sidewalks along Summit Ridge in the Lakeshore neighborhood of Rockwall. Many neighbors are upset over the decision and worried about the destruction and runoff. I asked Dosha Vance, one of the residents of this neighborhood, her opinion on the new construction and she was upset about the "destruction of some of the large trees." This is an older neighborhood with full of large trees that have been growing for several years. The addition of the sidewalks could force the removal of some of the old, proud trees in this neighborhood. Dosha and several others have mentioned their fears and are trying to instill fear in those who hear their plea in order to persuade them to take their side.
