Juneteenth
The H.R. 40 Bill is a trending topic that has
been in recent News, and something that is popular within my community. I've
seen a decent amount of post and articles being shared on my Facebook feed
about the subject so I've decided to talk to those individuals to get
their opinion. My first interview was with my sister Channyn. I spoke with her
and asked how she felt about the article she shared on her page, which stated
that Danny Glover had spoken at the conference to defend blacks receiving reparations.
She said that “it’s been long overdue, and if Indians were able to get their land
reserves for how the settlers mistreated them, then black people are past due”.
